How it works

Cycle to Work lets you pay for your bike from your gross salary, before income tax and National Insurance are deducted. This usually reduces the real cost of the bike, with the sacrifice spread across 12 monthly payments.

Scheme providers charge Gloria a fee to process each voucher. We pass this fee on at cost so the calculator shows you a realistic saving — never an inflated one.

If your bike costs more than your approved voucher, the difference is shown as a top-up. The top-up is paid separately and does not receive Cycle to Work tax relief.

Your final cost is made up of:

  • The voucher amount, after estimated tax and National Insurance savings
  • The scheme provider fee (including VAT where applicable)
  • Any top-up for the part of the bike not covered by the voucher
